Re: CAVE in the Eastern Panhandle GC2MD1H

I'll add my recommendation to the cave cache. It was awesome! I had a lot of fun on that one. Thanks for placing that one.

Re: GC2873X Bike Trail - #9 Job X71017

I forgot to post on this thread. This cache is very cool! The whole trail is the best I've done. It took a lot of imagination to come up with all those different caches. The other trails I've done...

Re: this has a great surprise

It's nice a new now. The old one hadn't weathered very well.

Re: West Virginia Top 10 Challenge GC2WCG9

I finished today. The cave is awesome! I'm still uploading pictures. I grabbed the final at 10:03 pm at Pedlar. Someone was actually shooting at the range in the dark  Another crazy trip...

Re: GCT4QG Lion's Head

Yes, Haystack is in the new Wilderness Area too. I've been putting off planning anything new in Dolly/Roaring Plains until the dust settles.

Re: GCT4QG Lion's Head

I wonder who is in charge or how you find out? According to that map, Mt. Porte Crayon is definitely in the new Roaring Plains West Wilderness Area. I've been dreading getting an email about Thunder.

Re: Sound off - other hobbies

My top hobbies besides caching are cars and photography. I haven't raced in awhile but I still have the two MR2s I tinker with. I'm spending more time with photography these days, especially shootin...

Re: WV state park challenge GC26ZJG

Looking at MapSource, I don't know if it was really a shortcut or not. Of course the "road" doesn't really appear on there until you zoom way in. It showed up nice on my gps with the topo ...

Re: WV Fizzy Challenge

I was wondering where that was. I wish someone would redo Scattered Remains and Polly Takes a Plunge. I loved those.

Re: WV state park challenge GC26ZJG

Moncove Lake is quite a trip too. If you take your Jeep, there is a dirt road over the mountain right from I-64 to the lake. I blindly followed my topos on my gps and went over it in the MR2 :shock...

Re: Another wvhunter...this time 1968

Welcome. I spend a lot of time in the woods but have only found one shed antler. I was on my way to Wind Caves. If you want a challenge, try that one.

Re: GCT4QG Lion's Head

It must still be in place. It was found the same day it was archived. I haven't heard back from Seneca Rocks about why it was archived. The owner of Hell For Certain was granted permission for that...

Re: WV Fizzy Challenge

I wasn't recommending it, just saying what I saw. There seemed to be a lot of driving in the area where Scattered Remains was too.
