Desperately Seeking Travel Bug

Postby Pilot J on Mon Jul 27, 2009 8:40 am

A geocacher named Pastor B is going to drop an Ultimate Sacrifice TB Paul Fischer probably in the Romney area sometime this week. We just returned home from Canaan Valley to Barboursville and work prevents me from getting back up that way any time soon. I served in the National Guard with Paul for many years. He was killed in a Chinook crash in Iraq in November 2003. He was a friend and I requested this TB in his honor. I would love to connect with it if anyone in the area is in a position to retrieve it. It is TB 2236Z.

A suggestion - You may want to put it on your watch list and post a note on the cache page when it gets dropped.

I hope you're able to connect with it, and many thanks for your service.

I could possibly go over there next week. Keep me up to date on its whereabouts.

Well, Ultimate Sacrifice TB was dropped in Blackburg, VA (GC14AH2) instead of Romney, WV. He did at least include in his log that it wanted to come to Dryfork or Barboursville, WV. Guess we will watch it and see where it moves next or if it just flames out in urbania.

The one in FASNACHT is the Ultimate Sacrifice bug that I dropped. It is not the same one that PilotJ is looking for. Use the tracking number in his first post, it is in Virginia.

US TB Update: TheWattsFamily made a cache run to Virginia and picked up US Paul Fisher for us. It is safe and sound in West By God Virginia. So thanks to all, we will definately connect with our friend Paul again sooner or later.
