July Beer & Wings - July 25 Morgantown

Postby Spotty Spotty Pony Girl on Tue Jul 09, 2013 4:33 pm

Ok I know, I know....the Great MEAT-n-Greet is on July 20. Big deal. Who says just because we are having an event the Saturday before means we can't have Beer & Wings the following Thursday? A crazy person would say that, perhaps.

But us MAGPI? We look for any good reason to get together for a nice refreshing beverage and tasty food.

So...

beer & wings - Morgantown
Thursday, July 25
6:00 ish

We do need a location....

Tilted Kilt. I had a Jalapeno Burger last time and it was very good. But the garlic fries were even better. Need to try the Blackened Burger next.

The Tilted Kilt is AMAZING. The food ain't bad and the view for the male members of magpi ain't bad either!

I probably won't be there due to familia obligations but beer and decent food plus, beer. Win. Good choice. Nice place.

Must try the Irish Nachos. Uh-May-Zing! If you are disappointed your tongue is wrong.

if you don't branch out from having a beer and try a Shaker, I will be sorely disappointed.

Not one person got a shaker last time we were there. I thought for sure that G-C would get dingleberry shaker, but he did not.

he said something about his heart not being able to take it. And I think that falls under "don't break Larry" even though we weren't actually caching.

I'm afraid to ask, (and too lazy to look it up), but what is a "shaker"?

I will be spending that week attending the Blue Ribbon Math teacher training at Fairmont High School so I will be in the area to attend. I'm really looking forward to it and will probably have my daughter (one of Morgantown's newest residents) and her boyfriend with me.

Unfortunately LWB & I won't be able to make Beer & Wings this month, despite it being in our own hometown. We (and by we I mean, I - the keeper of the calendar) managed to double book ourselves on the 25th. Guess that's what happens to social butterflies.

FYI gang. Mountain fest is this weekend and the bikers have already started to arrive. So don't be surprised to find all of Morgantown more crowded than you might expect.

I should be there at (or slightly before) 6:00.
