My longest streak was 111 days back in '09. My current streak started August 1st. That puts it at 38 days. My two current goals are to beat the old one and make it to a year. The first seems realistic, the second is me dreaming. I have been saving nearby caches for quite some time in anticipation of this streak.

garybech, from CA, just found Challenge 100 - 702 days in a row  of finding a cache!!! I can't help but think of the phrase "Get a life" - but then again, I'm sure he's retired and I'm also sure that Geocaching IS a major part of his life. I can think of many other pastimes to fill your days that are much worse than Geocaching.

I promise not to put out a Challenge 700 cache any time soon ;-) .

I have friends here in town (http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=16b60067-3e8b-4909-90ca-fc45e8d11832&wid=7af33c2f-f0d1-42c7-b1a6-693ec46edf41&ds=2) that have a daily caching streak of 1273 days. That goes back about 3 1/2 years. :???:

I have a monthly streak going. Does that count?

  • I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

  • I love deadlines. I especially like the whooshing sound they make when they go flying by.

Incredible! Send them to get Challenge 100 (GC4KTCC) while they are in town  .

I have 49 days. It wasn't very easy because I'd cleared out most of the low-hanging fruit in both Morgantown and State College. By day 40, I was flagging pretty badly. My goal was merely to have a longer streak than slump (longest slump was 47 days).

My new plan is to try the streak thing when I inevitably move elsewhere and try to only find 1-per-day on caches within ~10-20mi. So maybe I'll be able to pick up buddhaman's cache when I visit for a Mountie game.
