Sometime we never learn a lesson. You'd think after our March fiasco at Burnsville I'd learn to read the cache description before heading out into the wood. Nope.

Mrs. 3dogs, the muttlies, and I went hiking today on the Allegheny Trail along Glady Creek. The original goal was Wolf Run. We were approaching the long way from Sully Road. A little over a mile in we hit a bunch of blow down. Dog leashes and blow downs don't mix. We returned to the Jeep and headed toward Ramp Heaven Redux (Sort of).

Never bothered to read the cache page. I even had it loaded on my phone. We started hiking up the road. Never made the turn. Just hiked 400 feet up to the top of the hill, bounced around at 400 feet, and realized I should have read the cache page. We gave up, returned to the Jeep, drove home, and grilled steaks for dinner.

Good to see that you're carrying on the MAGPI tradition. And if it makes you feel any better, SSPG and I did the same thing at Ramp Heaven Redux last year. Except we continued on and made the FTF.

That's a pretty cool spot. You should have stuck with it. You could have been the first to be there in a year.

  • I love deadlines. I especially like the whooshing sound they make when they go flying by.

It was a very cool spot. And I'm glad we persevered.
