Stump 89SC

Postby Spotty Spotty Pony Girl on Sun Mar 27, 2011 7:58 pm

Apparently 89SC has a freakish ability to tell pretty much exactly where in WV a fellow cacher happens to be simply by the photos he/she posts. And I'm not talking a photo of say the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. I'm talking like a photo of a statue in a cemetery or a photo of some mountains. I post the photo and in under 5 minutes I'm pretty much guaranteed that 89SC will be naming my location (although I do suppose he could be stalking me, but that seems unlikely & really narcissistic - which as we know is so unlike me).

So, I'm hereby asking my fellow MAGPI to post photos taken near cache sites in WV in hopes of stumping 89SC.

I'd start, but since he already knew that I was at the small cemetery in Flatwoods by the photo I posted on FB I'm hoping someone else will get the ball rolling.

Pbump is offering this submission. (he asked me to post it since he can't readily access MAGPI from home.)

I've been to a lot of country churches while caching. If they aren't zombie orthodox, they kind of run together. Stumped on that one.

The other picture could be anywhere. Reminds me of the waterfall at Dog Gone Cache at Snake Hill but could be anywhere the PA Gamelands where thebuddhaman lurks.

OK , now that 89sc had his chance. I say that church is St.George up around Moundsville.

St. Joseph's - southern Marshall County. Well worth the trip for anyone who hasn't done it yet.

Ok, I don't think I've ever been to that church so it would be hard to guess where it is.

The Hemlock Trail is at Cathedral State Park.
I don't think I've ever been to the place in the second pic.
The overlook looks like it's at a Civil War site. I'd guess Droop Mountain but the deck was new when I was there last summer.

I'm guessing Audra though I haven't done that one yet.

I'd agree that Hemlock Trail is in Cathedral SP. I first thought wvangler's last pic was from the Big Run overlook on FR 18 (not far from Olsen Tower), but then realized that the Big Run overlook isn't that fancy ... just a big rock with a pipe railing.

And before SSPG can chime back in, 3_dogs last pic is from Cave Cache in Mason County. Yes, that's the same place SSPG was going to guess.

I know angler's second pic and 3_dogs second pic.

Phil-I didn't know there was a cache there? I offered to take Chris once, but she turned a little green when I explained the area.
