Stump 89SC

Here is the place for those conundrums, posers and other mind games we love to share.

You hit the Cathedral SP pic out of the ballpark, as expected.

KWSN knows my second pic, no there isn't a cache there but plenty on either side within a mile or two. There should be a cache there though (wink wink Wintz50). It is Hillbilly Hotdogs in Lesage.

I recognized Cave Cache too, but it also looks like the one Triple Fork? in Jackson County near Kenna...almost identically.

My last pic was on the Scenic Highway (Rt. 150) between Marlinton and Cranberry Visitor's Center at Black Mountain Treasure cache...which in retrospect was not a good choice of photo since I just now realized that no MAGPI have been there yet. Sorry. I vow to not post any more pics that no MAGPI have been to, especially 89SC, on this thread. For some reason when I pulled up the photo I thought it was an old cache that everyone had found - leave it to me to not do my research.

Maybe too easy for him, a fairly recent find.

I enjoyed the series and the pictures. That's the train wreck at the Big Run Culvert in the Blackwater Canyon and this is what it looks like inside:

The sculpture at the Clay Center in Charleston

The Devil's Backbone, GC2C83F an Earthcache

Looks a lot like the top of Mt Porte Crayon, The Killer Christmas Trees of Doom.

Perfect score. Now for a few slightly more difficult:

The container might give this view away

Don't think SC has been to this one, but most MAGPI have...

No cache here yet...haven't figured out why, but if still none by the time Groundspeak decides on whether to reinstate virtuals I will be creating a virtual/historical/whateverthey'regonnacallit here asap.

Castle Rocks and Pancake Rocks

Looks like GC13FZN, Covered Bridge Cache down below Organ Cave

The Golden Palace up in the panhandle. I haven't been there but have wanted to since it's abandoned now.

Yeah, from the pictures I've seen, I thought is was abandoned but I guess it's not. It's just not being very well maintained.

Didn't notice if anyone had guessed the church, but after checking the shadows and time of day I have guess. It looks like St Joesph's Catholic Church, South Central Marshall County, just off Rte 21 on Hawkeye HIll Rd. Most likely when SSPG was going after GC19E3Q.

Had to edit this, for some reason I had indicated it was South of Huntington since I saw the Marshall County Airport. Oh well, that's what happens when you get old.

Do I get a Prize?

I took that picture in 2009? I think. When I was there it was not abandoned. I was the only "tourist" there though, and I could hear some creepy buddhist chant music pulsating from the guts of that palace. It said "Open for tours" on the sign at the entrance, but there was no way I was going into that thing alone. It reminded me WAAAYYYY too much of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Call me a backwoods West Virginia hillbilly, but I wasn't interested in meeting Kali in the lava pit as a sacrifice.

I'll throw this in. But since 89SC is a guru at waterfalls, I don't expect this will take him long.

Not too bad of a shot for a phone cam.

Looks like the reservoir spillway at White Park. You must have been looking for KickCache.
