So The Old Timers (GC353A3) challenge by thebuddhamanm, which as you may tell from it's GC# is not a new challenge is one I've been working on for quite some time. So long that quite a few of the oldest caches in WV were archived and I had to update my list.

As of today (8/11/13) I've got one more to do. I'm aiming for the middle of September, if the river has enough water to float a canoe! (oh yeah...you may recognize that name since nuggie99 posted an epic story about their adventure!

Same list here. We grabbed Canyon Cardinal yesterday while working on the Civil War GeoTrail. Beautiful area.

The Greenbrier River is at 3.3' today. If it is at that level next month, we should have no trouble floating it. Looking forward to finishing this one off.

It only took a year and a few months, but we finally managed to get everything together and tackle Rapid Cache to finish off the Old Timers Challenge!

All that is left to be done is go after the Challenge itself. Sometime. Soonish.

I see from my post from last year that the water level was perfect for the float. Unfortunately, yesterday it was at 2.0' and there was a fair amount of "river hiking" involved. Still, it was a great day and a fun weekend with the gang. :camping:

So glad to finally get this one done!
