Then I thought, hey...that sounds like a contest.
And so I present the first ever (and depending on how many of us injure ourselves trying to best each other...maybe the last)
MAGPI Hiking / Biking Contest
The idea is to track how many miles you hike/walk (one category) or bike (the other category) while in pursuit of caches. Each month - May through August - there will be a winner from category. In September the monthly totals will be tallied and there will be cumulative winners in each category.
The good news? The monthly winners get a prize and the final winners get a prize. Lots of prizes, so don't be slackers.
The Guidelines
1. Post here how many miles you have hiked/walked OR biked in pursuit of a cache for each month (May, June, July, August).
a. The preferred way is to post a tracklog with distance noted and the cache(s) you were going after.
b. If you don't have ability to use tracklogs, post the distance and what cache(s) you were going after.
b. It does not matter if you find or DNF the caches.
c. If you hiked/walked OR biked a round trip, that entire distance counts. If you, say, had a car at each end of a rail trail and only walked one way, that's all
you get.
d. Don't cheat. If you forgot to turn on your tracklog, (or don't have a tracklog) give a conservative estimate of the distance you traveled.
e. Post updates as you go!
2. Have fun!
3. Go out and get yourself some caches!

I keep looking for the "like" button, even though I'm sure it would cause me great pain.
