route info

Postby wvangler on Wed Dec 03, 2008 9:40 pm

any chance I could get one of you guys to set up a route for me from Charleston, WV up I-77 to I-70 in Ohio, then I-70 to Wheeling? I've tried searching for one and I can't find anything close. I don't know how to operate google earth and I've seen several of your names on some of the saved routes so I thought maybe you could help.

so from Charleston to Wheeling then?

how many miles off the interstate are you looking for?

eh, about a mile or two. I will pretty much have everything already loaded from here to Parkee'sburg then pick it back up around Wheeling. But I would like to grab some on the way through Ohia. I normally go that way to Wheeling. Rt. 2 gets old. I need to do an overnight trip up there soon and Cabela's is a good place to grab something for Christmas for my dad.

Someone post if they upload this. If no one does by the time I get back from wings night, I'll put one together.

Log in to Geocaching.com
Go to your account
Select the link for finding caches along a route
Use the keyword search tab and enter "Charleston to Wheeling WV" without the quotations
There should be links on the page to get a pocket query based on the route

Hope it helps.

Yep ... "No routes found" for me, too. I also searched for just Charleston and just Wheeling by themselves and found some routes, but not the one you made. Did you make it a public route?

Yep - it's public. I don't get it.

Maybe the text in the second column is what's needed for the search?
